Fully Assembled Sand Blaster Cabinet
Why is a fully assembled cabinet important? Most importantly, because it provides a solid platform and will save you time. The 3624 is one of the best sand blaster cabinets available today. Like all our cabinets, the unit is constructed of 16 gauge steel. All steel welded and sealed, our team makes sure each cabinet leaves the shop leak free. Upon arrival you just unpack it, add media, connect the air, and get to work. Other manufacturers may require you to bolt the body to the legs, or the doors to the cabinet. Bolts in those critical areas have the opportunity to loosen and leak.
Sand Blaster Openings That Make Your Work Easier
The 3624 sand blaster cabinet will handle small and medium sized pieces with ease. An easy opening flip top lid offers convenient and easy access to the work. When you lift the lid a latch will hold it open for you while you load, unload, or add media. Simply move the latch and close the lid to get back to work. Putting in or taking out project pieces is very easy.
A convenient access door is located on the right side and is constructed of the same steel as the cabinet. It also features a reinforced frame and a secure latch. Combined, those features provide a leak proof experience.
Sandblasting Dust Collector Included
The 3624 includes our powerful DC-1500 sandblast dust collector. The DC-1500 produces a powerful 90 CFM and works perfectly to keep visibility clear inside the blast cabinet. Next, the dust collector features a two stage filter system that prolongs the life of the dust collector. Additionally, the pre-filter bag captures the majority of the particulate and the canister filter further protects the motor. As well, the dust collector connects to the cabinet via a 6′ flexible hose with a 2.25″ diameter opening. The system is easy to maintain and use. Finally, the dust collector includes a 8′ cord and can be connected to the cabinet’s electrical box or any electrical box capable of supplying 110 Volts.
The cabinet requires a standard 110 Volt setup. Included is an 8′ cord from the cabinet to your electrical source. The cabinet comes with a light receptacle and on/off switch. The switch controls an additional receptacle for the included sandblast dust collector. Therefore, you control the entire cabinet with one easy on/off switch location on the cabinet. The end user selects their choice of bulb, whether CFL, incandescent or LED. We recommend rough service bulbs.
Air Requirements | Sandblast Gun System
The 3624 sandblasting cabinet comes with a 14 CFM (Cubic Feet Per Minute) nozzle. Your air compressor must supply 14 CFM at 70-100 PSI for the 14 CFM system to work. We can supply a 5 CFM setup at no additional charge or add a 25 CFM or 35 CFM system for a small fee. The system comes with a trigger operated blast system. A pedal operated system is available at your request for a small fee. In short, a foot pedal tends to be more comfortable for the operator over a longer period of time. Trigger guns, with prolonged/constant use, may cause user fatigue.
Finally, we take your safety seriously. The cabinet lid interacts with an air cut off safety valve. If the lid is open, the valve cuts the air to the sandblast gun, thus reducing the risk of user injury.
Flexible Abrasive Media Choices
This sand blaster cabinet handles abrasives like white or brown aluminum oxide, glass beads, silicon carbide, or blasting garnet. We supply a full catalog of abrasive media. We do not recommend steel shot and under no circumstances should you ever use sand in an abrasive cabinet – even with a name like sand blaster. Silicosis is a deadly condition caused by silica in sand. When breathed, it will damage your lungs and eventually result in death.
